There are various reasons why you may want to use WhatsApp on a PC. This can be because you spend most of your hours on the PC and you wouldn’t want to often get disturbed picking up your phone to reply to WhatsApp messages.
Well, there has always been an option of installing an android emulator on your PC and then running WhatsApp from the emulator. This is probably a nice idea if your computer has really good specs.
By good specs I mean a computer with at least 8GB of RAM, 2.5GHz clock speed, and at least 500GB HDD. But having all the above specs doesn’t guarantee that the android emulator will run smoothly. This is because having an emulator on a PC can be compared to practically having two computers using the same resources.
You can imagine the competition for resources like RAM. This makes a computer extremely slow. This is why I’ve tried as hard as possible to find an alternative to android emulators.
This guide describes four ways how to use WhatsApp on a PC without a phone.
Use the WhatsApp desktop app
Open Microsoft Store
Open the Microsoft store.
To open the store, open the start menu, search for “store” and open the Microsoft store.
Before using the store, you may be prompted to sign in to your Windows account. Sign in otherwise you’ll not get access to the Microsoft store.
If you don’t have a Windows account, there is an option of creating an account. Follow the steps to create an account.
After signing, you’ll get access to the Microsoft store.
Locate WhatsApp
From the search panel on the top right corner, search for “Whatsapp” and from a list of displayed results click on “WhatsApp Desktop“.
Start Download
Click on download to start downloading.
The download can then be monitored by clicking on the download icon at the top right corner of the store window.
Once the download is complete, open it.
Log in to your WhatsApp account
To log into your WhatsApp account, open WhatsApp on your phone, and click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of your WhatsApp screen.
From the options menu, click on Whatsapp Web and use the phone to scan the QR code on the Whatsapp desktop app.
Whatsapp on your PC will automatically log in when the scan is successful.
You can now always log in to your WhatsApp account by just opening your WhatsApp desktop app.
Note: This method works for Windows 10 users only.
Use WhatsApp web
With this method, you will be able to log into your WhatsApp from the web browser.
This is by far the fastest method to access your WhatsApp account as it doesn’t involve any download.
How to use WhatsApp Web

- A page will be loaded with a QR code for you to scan.
