The Tala Paybill number to repay your loan is a very really simple process. All you need is the Tala Pay Bill number and the account number which is usually your phone number.
To make Tala loan repayments via Tala Paybill number
- Go to your Safaricom menu
- Select M-Pesa
- Select Lipa na M-Pesa
- Select the Pay Bill option
- Enter the business number 851900
- Enter the account number(your Tala registered phone number)
- Enter your payment amount
- Enter your M-Pesa PIN
- Confirm the details and press ‘OK’
Tala usually offers soft loans of between Ksh.500 to Ksh.50, 000 to loan applicants. After the loan has been disbursed. The loan should be repaid within 30 days from the date of disbursement.

Does Tala Report Defaulters to CRB?
The simple answer is yes, Tala does report its loan defaulters to CRB. However, there are alternative methods you can use to avoid being listed with CRB.
You can pay late after defaulting for a few days but this will attract a penalty from Tala. You risk CRB listing if you default on your loan for a period of 90 days.
