The comedian Njugush real name Timothy Kimani Ndegwa was born to Rev. Benard Ndegwa and Jane Njambi in 1991, in Meru County. He is the firstborn in a family of two sons. Interestingly, Njugush’s brother, Ngugi Ndegwa, is a poet, scriptwriter, author, and also an actor.

In 2013, Abel Mutua contacted him for a role in Hapa Kule News, a comedy program, which aired on NTV. He rose ranks to become the program’s creative director. Later, he was featured on The Real Househelps of Kawangware as one of the main characters, but left after two years.
After leaving the show, he started a standup comedy dubbed Through Thick and Thin and Dereva Series, which he posted on his YouTube channel. Currently, his content is available on his website, njugush.co.ke.
